about
In 2004, the Maestro was hired to write a song for a movie called "Mercs of Mercy", a film about three Doctors Without Borders, physicians who become freedom fighters in a small South American nation. Along the way they find love with three special women. The song is played under a montage of the men and their respective lady friends, the night before the final stand-off. The Maestro commented: "They did a lot of the filming in the jungles of Panama, where I actually visited the set and met the actors. They were really charming, charismatic guys. I wrote this song on a spinet piano in our lodging house in Gamboa."
The lead singer of punk band Camp Cope ventures into romantic synth-pop territory, tempering slick arrangements with bare sentiment.
